Sunnie Reed began her music studies on the violin at age 3, picking up viola just after her 16th birthday. She attended the University of Utah, majoring in viola performance under the tutelage of Roberta Shulman-Zalkind, associate principal violist of the Utah Symphony. She minored in vocal perfomance, studying with Marion Miller. Sunnie has performed with many ensembles, including the Salt Lake Symphony and the Dubuque (Iowa) Symphony. When not performing, she works as a 911 dispatcher and enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, Yeti and Thea
