Heather Alexander is an extrordinary violinist and singer, and was Gaia Consort's first violinist. She played all the violin parts on Gaia Circles and her great playing is responsible for the often unique sound on tunes such as Gaia Circles and especially Ravens. Heather's move to the Portland Oregon area means that we don't get to have her perform with us as often as we'd like, but when we do get to have her, it's always a treat for us, as well as our audience.
Heather is the driving force behind many a great band, and started the popular Bay Area Celtic fusion band Pheonyx. She's released five solo CDs since Pheonyx split up, most recently "Inish Allah - the Music of Lion's Blood", a collaborative production with alternative history author Steven Barnes . She also leads Uffington Horse whose membership includes Gaia Consort drummer Dan Ochipinti. Check out her amazing website at
