Many of you have helped make our first five projects possible through your generous contributions via the Adopt-A-Song program, and we want you to know that the baby we fondly know as Gaia Circles and hatched in December of 1999 as our first "out of the broom closet" Pagan album has traveled. It's fresh young siblings, Secret Voices and Evolve have gotten us out into the wider world in all kinds of ways - like playing to 4,000 people at Faerieworlds last summer and booked into this year as well. The business of Gaia Consort / Suddenly Naked Arts Collective still manages to pay for itself, but would not come anywhere close to breaking even if folks like you didn't pay for the recording costs. Sue's day job has allowed me to make the music a full time pursuit and the result is that Gaia Consort continues to have a life of its own. 2007 has us on the cusp of many new possibilities and eight songs into finishing the new Vitus Dance cd, before we even came up with the new program. Thank you!

Now we're moving once again toward the next step of the writing / fundraising / recording / release cycle - the writing for our next project, Vitus Dance, is almost complete. We've got mixes on almost eight songs out of 13 and at this point we need to raise about $6500 to finish. Knowing what's left, we again come to you.

We frequently get feedback from people that our music has helped get them through - and that's basically all an artist gets in the end - the knowledge that we made a difference. Your generosity has made the recordings possible.

Our biggest challenge appears to be getting the word out - inside and outside the Pagan / Poly community. We're confident that we can provide some wonderful musical experiences, and present our music to the Pagan Community as well as the "general public" - whoever they may be - and put some of these ideas into the heads of folks who might not have thought about Gaia this way. Making the next step from re-affirming our own thinking to changing the thinking of others.
